TL;DR — the honest version
We find where the sun is. We can't promise it'll still be sunny when you get there.

Using Where Sun means you agree to these Terms. That's it — no signature, no checkbox, no 47-page PDF to initial. Just use the app, follow the rules, and we'll all get along fine.
These Terms cover everyone — free users and premium subscribers. We may update them occasionally. When we do, we'll change the date at the top. Continuing to use the app after that means you're okay with the new version.

Where Sun is a mobile application that helps you find sunny weather near any location on any given date. It searches within a radius of up to 250 km, pulls weather data from third-party APIs, and presents results so you can plan your day, weekend, or trip around good weather.
What it is not: a professional meteorological service, a navigation app, a safety tool, or a guarantee that you'll find sunshine. Weather forecasts are inherently probabilistic. We present the best available data — but clouds, as they say, have their own agenda.

Where Sun is rated 4+ — so technically anyone old enough to want to go outside can use it. If you're under 13, use it with a parent or guardian nearby.
By using the app you're confirming you're allowed to use it where you live. We'll take your word for it.

You can use Where Sun on any Apple device you own. That's the whole point. What you can't do is take the app apart, copy it, sell it, or use it to build something else without asking us first.
Specifically, please don't:

Where Sun offers an optional premium subscription ("Where Sun Premium") that unlocks additional features including more daily searches, extended 10-day forecasts, unlimited saved places, an expanded search radius, and the ability to compare multiple dates side by side.
Pricing:
Billing: All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details. Prices are shown in your local currency at checkout and may vary by region as set by Apple.
Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Your Apple ID will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
Cancellation: Cancel anytime in iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Where Sun. Cancelling stops future charges — you keep premium access until the end of the period you've paid for.
Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple, not by us. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Downgrade: If you cancel, your premium features turn off at the end of the billing period. Your saved places are not deleted — you just can't add new ones beyond the free limit until you re-subscribe.
Free tier: The free version of Where Sun is fully functional. Premium makes it better, not mandatory.

Where Sun retrieves weather forecast data from third-party providers including Meteosource. Forecasts are predictions, not certainties. Weather can change rapidly and unexpectedly.
We make no warranty that the weather at any location will match the forecast shown in the App. We are not responsible for any decisions, costs, or consequences arising from reliance on the App's weather data — including but not limited to travel expenses, cancelled plans, or soggy sandwiches.
Always use good judgment when planning outdoor activities.

Where Sun uses a number of third-party services to function — including weather APIs, mapping services, and subscription management. These services have their own terms and privacy policies, which we encourage you to review:
We are not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of any third-party service.

The name, logo, animated sun, design, and everything else that makes Where Sun look and feel the way it does — that's ours. We put a lot of work into it and we'd like to keep it that way.
You're welcome to use the app. You're not welcome to copy the brand, lift the animations, or repurpose the visual identity without asking. A friendly email goes a long way.
Weather data and place information comes from third-party sources and belongs to them respectively.

We built this app carefully and we're proud of it. But we're a small team and the internet is unpredictable, so we have to be honest with you: Where Sun comes "as is" and "as available" — without guarantees.
That means we can't promise:
We'll always try. But if your jurisdiction doesn't allow these disclaimers, they apply to the fullest extent the law permits.

If something goes wrong with the app, we want to fix it. What we can't do is be responsible for everything that flows from it. The legal version of that sentence:
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including travel costs based on a forecast that turned out to be wrong, lost data, or anything else that wasn't directly caused by us being negligent.
If you do have a legitimate claim against us, our total liability is capped at whatever you paid us in the past 12 months. For free users, that's €10. That's not us being dismissive — it's just honest about the size of the risk on both sides.

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Uninstalling the App deletes all locally stored data from your device.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App if we believe you're using it in a way that violates these Terms, applicable law, or that could harm the App or its users. Premium subscribers who are terminated for Terms violations are not entitled to a refund.

We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the App at any time. We'll do our best to let you know about major changes via App Store update notes or in-app messages.
We may also update these Terms. When we do, we'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top. Continued use of the App means you accept the new Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. If you're an EU consumer, you also benefit from any mandatory protections provided by the laws of your country of residence.
Any disputes arising from these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting us. If that fails, disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Croatia, unless applicable consumer law in your country gives you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
